Payment & Cancellation Policy

1. Booking & Payment

All safari bookings are confirmed with a 40% deposit of the total safari cost. The remaining 60% balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the safari departure date. Bookings made within 30 days of departure may require full payment at the time of booking. Payment details and due dates are included in your booking confirmation.

2. Cancellation by the Guest

Cancellation charges are calculated as a percentage of the total safari cost. If the charge is higher than the amount you have already paid, the difference is payable. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

3. Exceptional Circumstances at the Destination

If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the safari destination or its immediate vicinity and significantly affect the safari (for example war, serious security risks, a major natural disaster, or an officially declared public health emergency), you may cancel in writing without a cancellation charge. We will refund the payments you made for the affected safari.

4. Refunds

Any refund will be made after deducting applicable cancellation charges and non-refundable costs already paid to hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, parks, transport providers, or other suppliers. This does not apply to cancellations under sections 3 and 6.

5. Changes & Postponements

Requests to change travel dates or safari arrangements are subject to availability and may incur additional costs. Changes are not guaranteed.

6. Cancellation by Mashuve Safaris

If we cancel a confirmed safari for reasons other than force majeure, you will receive a full refund of all payments made for that safari, or you may choose to rebook on another date.

7. Travel Insurance

Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, delays, lost luggage, and other unexpected circumstances.

8. Force Majeure

Mashuve Safaris may modify or cancel part of an itinerary when circumstances beyond its reasonable control occur, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures, or other safety-related situations.

9. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of the deposit confirms the booking and constitutes acceptance of Mashuve Safaris' Payment & Cancellation Policy.

10. Bookings Through Third-Party Platforms

Bookings made through third-party platforms or travel agents follow the cancellation terms of that platform or agent.
